NANA AMA AMPOMAH DONATES TO MUSLIMS OF NPP IDENTIFIABLE GROUPS IN ASHANTI REGION.
Nana Ama Ampomah the NPP Ashanti Regional Women’s Organizer on Tuesday, 27th April 2021, donated some assorted food items to the Muslim leaders of the various identifiable groups affiliated with the New Patriotic Party at their Regional Party office to show solidarity with the Muslim community as they observe Ramadan.
The Woman Organizer admonished them to use the moment to pray for peace in the country and also for Allah to protect all Muslims, the President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and all his appointees.
She took the opportunity to encourage them to work hard and also inspire their children to take education very seriously for it’s what drives development in every nation.
Ramadan is the most sacred month of the year for Muslims. The Prophet Mohammed reportedly said, “When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of heaven are opened and the gates of hell are closed and the devils are chained.”
Muslims believe it was during this month that God revealed the first verses of the Quran, Islam’s sacred text, to Mohammed, on a night known as “The Night of Power” (or Laylat al-Qadr in Arabic).
During the entire month of Ramadan, Muslims fast every day from dawn to sunset. It is meant to be a time of spiritual discipline; of deep contemplation of one’s relationship with God, extra prayer increased charity and generosity, and intense study of the Quran.
