Mampong Babies Home Receives Food Items From NASPA-Ashanti
The Ashanti Regional Executives of the National Service Persons Association (NASPA) as part of their week celebrations donated food items to the Mampong Babies Home .
Speaking during the brief ceremony at the compound of the Home, the Ashanti Regional President of NASPA, Prince Boad said the gesture was intended to augment the support the home receives from government and other donors.
He noted that the presentation of the items also fulfils the social responsibility NASPA has towards the people in the region.
“We decided to do this donation as part of the week celebrations by NASPA and this gesture also forms part of our social responsibility to the people of the region”, Master Boadu stated.
Items:
Items donated by the NASPA executives included five (bags) of rice, three (3) gallons of cooking oil, five (5) boxes of mackerel and five (5) boxes of tin tomatoes.
The team also donated fifty tubers of yam, two olonka of gari, 3 bags of sugar as well as five (5) boxes of biscuits.
Items such as five (5) packs of bottled water, fifty bags of sachet water and hundred packs of assorted drinks were also donated.
Others such as detergents, soaps and toilet rolls were in addition presented to the Babies at the home.
Appreciation:
Receiving the items, Rev Hannah Ennin, the Officer (in charge) of the Home thanked the NASPA executives for the donation.
She noted that such gestures keep the children happy at the home .
Feeding, she noted takes a chunk of the upkeep funds for the home .
“We are grateful to the Ashanti Regional NASPA executives for showing us this level of kindness and we appeal to other private or government institutions and individuals to emulate this example so that we can give these babies excellent care throughout the year”, Reverend Ennin stated.
