I am opened to Constructive Criticisms – Hon. Emmanuel Agyei Anwhere
The media as the fourth estate of the realm is the most important channel that connects the people to their leaders. The media also offers us a great opportunity of receiving constant feedback from our people so we will get to improve in the ways they expect us to lead and serve them.
I commend you, the media in my beloved constituency for the fantastic job you do in highlighting some of the problems in our constituency and in offering your platform to propagate our work. The work of the media in bringing the various challenges of the people to the fore must be commended and I in particular am very pleased with that.
What I found a bit appalling has to do with some section of the media who have rather chosen to only sensationalize and propagandize negativity while using their platform only to bash leaders. Some of these media outlets have sadly decided not to project anything positive going on neither will they afford leadership an opportunity on their platform for clarification or corrections when there is a need for it. Sometimes the effect of this is that, we end up destroying reputations unjustifiably.
I am opened to criticisms which of course should be constructive and I, as the Member of Parliament of the good people of Atwima Nwabiagya South operate an open-door policy hence welcome and listens to any concern from any quarters within the constituency and sometimes beyond. Nobody should have doubts or concerns in approaching me no matter what the challenge is.
I will conclude once again by saluting our media men and urging all of us to put the love for our land first and always make truth our priority.
God bless us all.
