HEARTS AND KOTOKO SHARE THE SPOILS IN THE SUPER CLASH
Accra Hearts of Oak and league leader Kumasi Asante Kotoko has in the super clash on Sunday, 20 February 2021 played out a goalless draw at the Accra Sports Stadium during round 7 of the Ghana premier league.
Ahead of the match, the home team were 8th on the league table with 24 points with the visiting team leading the table with 36 points.
The two teams both had their chances during the match with each side producing good scoring opportunities but failing to find the net.
The in-form goal scorer for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mbella was not in his recent form for the day as he struggle to find a shot on target. On the other hand, the new addition to the team of Accra Hearts of Oak, Sulley Muntari, the former Inter Milan midfielder couldn’t live up to expectations as he got substituted in the early munites of the second half.
At the end of the 90 minutes, both teams couldn’t get past the goalkeepers of each side with the points being shared.
Kotoko still leads the league table with 37 points with Hearts of Oak in 8th position with 25 points.
