ASHANTI REGIONAL WOMEN’S ORGANISER OF NPP SHOWS LOVE TO WIDOWS
The Ashanti Regional Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Ama Ampomah, with the support of the Ampomah Foundation, a non-governmental (NGO) and non-profit, caring and charitable organisation, committed to the welfare of widows and orphans, engaged and spent time with some widows at the Subin Constituency.
The event which was organised at the Amankwatia Primary School at Amakom, Kumasi, had about 200 widows in attendance. It is Nana Ama Ampomah’s contribution to ensuring that widows in the region experienced love, affection and support.
Nana Ama Ampomah, who is also the founder and director of the Ampomah Foundation, said her outfit aims to support widows and the less-privileged in the society as Christian values and the Bible admonish Christians to do.
According to her, this gesture is the continuation of the engagement-with-the-widows programme which was started somewhere last year. The programme was taken to most of the constituencies in the Ashanti Region.
The Ashanti Regional Women’s Organiser of the NPP aims to bring comfort to widows, during which activities they are supplied with pieces of cloths and other items.
In attendance were also the First Vice Chairman of the Subin Constituency, Osei Hyeaman, the Constituency Women’s Organiser, Ama Konadu Boateng, some assemblymen from the constituency and other opinion leaders in the constituency.
