Our Opponent Is The NDC And Not Ourselves – Sir John To Members Of The NPP
The First Vice Chairman for the Atwima Nwabiagya Constituency of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. John Kwame Duodu, popularly known as “Sir John,” has called on all members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) across the country to be united towards the great agenda of defeating the National Democratic Congress for the third time in a roll during the 2024 general election.
According to him, the recent tension between some parliamentarians on the majority side, party faithful, and opinion leaders for the removal of the Finance Minister, Hon. Ken Ofori-Atta, among other internal matters, is not healthy for the party’s unity ahead of the 2024 polls.
Sir John stressed that the party has only a few months to come up with the best of its strategies for the 2024 elections and that no agenda capable of causing confusion within the party should be tolerated by members.
He continued that what the party must work towards is reuniting both its front and the grassroots, especially those usually considered as, ‘common floor members’, to motivate them to choose a common sense of direction and goal to propel the party’s chances of victory in 2024.
He, therefore, called on all party faithful to work hard to make the party more attractive to floating voters and also win the confidence of some members of the opposition to the party so that the goal of breaking the eight will not just be a mere political mantra but become a reality come December 2024.
Sir. John further admonished party members to accord due respect and regard to the party’s structures and grievance procedures as established by the party other than resorting to street and media bantering whenever there is disagreement about an issue or a course of action within the party.
He was however quick in reminding both the party hierarchy and the grassroots of the need for unity of purpose and equal treatment of members in order to bring to fruition the vision of the party to break the eight in the 2024 elections.
He ended his humble plea by thanking all party members for their support, efforts, prayers, and well wishes which have brought the party this far, and asked God to bless each and everyone and for the party to retain power in the next elections.
