NPP POLLING STATION ELECTIONS: KWABRE EAST MCE’S BOY CAUGHT IN ELECTORAL FRAUD
The ongoing polling station elections in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as witnessed across the length and breadth of the country has been generally calm and competitive. The Kwabre East Constituency has been one of the incident-free constituencies in terms of accessibility of forms, filing of forms and vetting.
However, one Richard Boadi, popularly known as “Skillzer” who is a loyalist to Hon. Opoku Agyemang Bonsu, the Municipal Chief Executive of Kwabre East and the constituency’s Election Committee chairman, has reportedly forged somebody’s Voters ID Card to enable him to meet the basic requirements to contest as a polling station officer.
Incontrovertible evidence available indicates that the said Richard Boadi who is contesting as Polling Station Youth Organizer at a polling station in Meduma – South Africa with polling station code F270509 has edited the original Voters ID Card of one Esther Sarfo with Voters ID number 1411000869 and polling station code F270509 and replaced the picture of Esther Sarfo with his picture. These details (Voters’ ID number and polling station code of Esther Sarfo) can be confirmed from the database of the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
The reality is that two people cannot use the same Voters ID number and the same polling station code but because of the desperation of Richard Boadi A.K.A Skillzer and his collaborators to become a polling station executive at all cost, this electoral fraud has happened in Kwabre East Constituency. To corroborate this claim of electoral fraud, any neutralist can confirm whether the Voters ID number 1411000869 and polling station code F270509 belong to Esther Sarfo (original owner of the Voters ID number) or Richard Boadi (the impersonator) from the database of the Electoral Commission.
This issue of electoral fraud has been reported to the constituency election committee chaired by the MCE but the MCE wants to gloss over it. A petition has also been sent to the election committee to that effect and the whole world is waiting for just one outcome. The outcome is very obvious, disqualify him outrightly in line with clause 9 of the rules and regulations governing the conduct of NPP polling station and electoral area elections at the back page of the nomination forms and the declaration section expressly stated on the nomination forms. Beyond this, prosecutorial measures must be initiated against the culprit in line with Sections 158 and 159 of the Criminal Offences Act
